Choice glossy medium chocolate brown and steel with underlying frosty lighter brown toning in the fields. Smooth and very attractive with just a trivial amount of friction on the highpoints and no contact marks. The only defects are a thin planchet fissure from the rim right of I in AUCTORI to the eye and a small planchet chip on the chest of the seated figure (both as struck, of course). The obverse is very slightly misaligned to K-7 while the reverse is nicely centered on the planchet. The date and legends are strong. A great early CT copper, considered to be tied for third finest of the variety. Weight 151.8 grains.
