Attractive glossy light chocolate brown. Mostly smooth but a glass reveals fine planchet striations on the left side of the obverse reaching NNW to SSE. These roller striations are strongest below the bust. The reverse is choice, smooth and virtually flawless except for a few similar striations over LI. The reverse is slightly off center to K-5 leaving the bottom of the 88 off the planchet but the rest of the date is bold and the legends are strong. Weight 105.9 grains.
