Glossy light brown and tan blending to light chocolate. The surfaces are smooth except for chipping at the lower right of the obverse and the opposing area at the lower left of the reverse where the strike is weak (the dies are aligned head-to-foot). No notable contact marks, just a few specks of fine carbon on the obverse. A thin planchet cutter impression arcing through LIB may help identify this piece. Late die state with strong die cracks and swelling at TORI, much later than any in the Taylor, Perkins, and Ford collections. The date is off the planchet but most of the legends are clear. Weight 139.5 grains.
