Attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Mostly smooth but there are some tiny planchet chips on the portrait and a larger void in the center of the reverse. A smooth depression on the rim at the top of the obverse (as struck) is the best identifying mark. No contact marks, only light wear. Later die state with fine die cracks on both sides and minor swelling in the field at the knee of the seated figure. Nicely centered, just a bit tight to the bottom of the reverse. A nice example, clearly superior to the Perkins and Ford examples. Weight 143.1 grains.

Ex Chris Young.
