Technically sharper but covered with fine granularity and there is some very shallow verdigris in the field around CONNEC. Reddish brown and chocolate with lighter brown toning on the devices. Softly struck on the left sides, sharper on the right. There are some very faint hairline scratches on the left side of the obverse, all blended nicely into the toning. The only planchet flaw is a minor lamination on the right side of the seated figure. The date is weak but still readable. Weight 128.2 grains.

Ex C. & D. Gale 10/25/1984-George C. Perkins, Stack’s 1/12/2000:316 (where graded “Choice Fine”).
