Glossy medium brown. Most of the planchet is smooth but the right edge of both sides is covered with planchet chips and is very softly struck while the rest of the strike is quite nice. Otherwise the only marks are a minor rim bruise at the R in AUCTORI and a spot of verdigris at the knees of the seated figure. Struck a bit off center to K-2.5 leaving most of the date off the planchet. Not perfect but at least equal to the Perkins and Ford examples where properly struck. Weight 141.4 grains.
