Glossy medium brown and light olive. Unevenly struck with solidly AU details on the right sides where mint frost dominates in those fields, and weakly struck on the left sides, particularly on the head and legends before the face. The planchet is mostly smooth but there are numerous small planchet flaws on the neck and face and more near the rim at the upper right of the reverse. No verdigris or contact marks. Called “Technically About Uncirculated” in the Perkins catalog. The obverse is misaligned to K-11 and the reverse is off a bit to K-4.5. The lower half of the date is off the planchet but the portion that remains is bold. A very attractive piece in spite of the striking flaws. Weight 153.3 grains.
