Glossy reddish chocolate brown and olive. Possibly recolored but the surfaces are mostly smooth and the eye appeal is excellent. The only marks are some microscopic pre-striking planchet chips on the portrait and a small spot of roughness at the rim before the face of the seated figure. Late die state with a near-fully formed “Horn” from the bust and clear die clashmarks at RI in AUCTORI. The date is bold and the legends are strong. Weight 100.8 grains.

Ex William Yates, 1995 C-4 Sale, McCawley & Grellman Auctions 10/21/1995:272.
