Slightly sharper but covered with fine to moderate roughness, strongest on the left of both sides. Much of the roughness may have been in the planchet pre-striking, but certainly not all of it. Partly glossy medium brown with some crusty olive brown in protected areas. No verdigris and the only notable marks are a couple light scratches from the throat into the field towards the E in CONNEC. The date is strong and the legends are readable, although several letters are weak. Plated in the 1971 Taxay reference. An acceptable example of a very rare variety that seldom comes with nice surfaces. Weight 112.5 grains.
