Slightly glossy reddish steel and chocolate mixed with darker olive brown. Sharply struck and nicely centered on the planchet. Early die state, before any swelling. The date and legends are complete and bold. Called “Probable Second Finest Known” in the Perkins catalog. Weight 157.5 grains.
